If you or someone you know would like to confidentially seek additional information, proceed to be considered for kidney donation or participate in the Paired Exchange Program, please contact University of Minnesota Fairview Transplant Center Intake Specialist at 612-672-7270. Please reference Susan Sutton from Rockford, MN and Diane Rachey from Aitkin, MN. Thank you for your prayerful consideration.
WAYS YOU CAN HELP 1. CONSIDER BEING A LIVING DONOR if you are blood type B or O. What do you do? Call the number above and they will do a short preliminary interview to see if you are eligible to donate. From there the University of MN sends you a test kit you take to your local clinic to have blood drawn. Then you wait to hear from the University to see if you match. If you match, you will need to have a physical to make sure you are up to surgery. If you are not a match for me, please CONSIDER PARTICIPATING IN THE PAIRED EXCHANGE PROGRAM.
